Databricks appoints Head of Public Sector
Databricks has appointed Lee Stockwell as Head of Public Sector for the UK and Ireland.
Stockwell joins from ServiceNow, where he led the National Security and Public Safety division, having previously headed the Live Services and Shared Services division at the UK Home Office.
He will lead Databricks’ public sector strategy across the UK and Ireland, working with government departments and public sector organisations to support data platform modernisation, advanced analytics and AI adoption.
Teads promotes UK managing director
Teads has promoted Sam Maloney from Commercial Director to Managing Director, UK.
Based across the company’s London and Manchester operations, he will oversee the UK business, including commercial strategy, financial performance, operations and advertiser and agency relationships.
Maloney has been with Teads for more than two years, having previously held senior roles at Outbrain , Quantcast, Essence and Maxus.
MFM appoints head of marketing
MFM has appointed Lucy Crowther as Head of Marketing.
Reporting to Chief Strategy Officer Dan Gee, she will lead the agency’s marketing and communications activity across the UK and Northern Europe, with responsibility for raising the agency’s profile and supporting business development.
Crowther joins from Beyond, where she was Marketing & Growth Director. She previously held marketing and new business roles at Havas and TMW Unlimited.
Elmwood and MSQ appoint Asia managing director
Elmwood and MSQ have appointed Po Kay Lee as Managing Director, Elmwood and MSQ Asia.
Lee joins from Forsman & Bodenfors and previously held senior roles at Superunion.
She will oversee the strategic direction, commercial performance and operations of Elmwood Singapore while leading the development of integrated services across MSQ’s agencies in Asia and supporting the group’s regional expansion.
Perfect Storm makes two appointments
Perfect Storm has appointed Ben Whiteley as Digital Project Lead and Melody Sutherland as Creative.
Whiteley joins after digital project management roles at Home, IMA and CDS. He will lead the planning, delivery and implementation of digital projects across the agency.
Sutherland joins from her own creative business, Melody Murals, and has also worked at Skipton Building Society. She will work alongside the agency’s creative team to develop concepts and deliver client campaigns.
Research Clever appoints associate director
Research Clever has appointed Mona Blaute as Associate Director (Operations).
Blaute joins from RONIN International, where she was Deputy Director of Projects, having previously served as Operations Director at Walnut Unlimited.
She will oversee operational efficiency, strengthen project delivery processes and support the company’s international research programmes as it expands.
LumApps strengthens executive team
LumApps has appointed Si-Mohamed Said as Chief Product Strategy & Growth Officer.
Said will lead the company’s product and offering strategy, oversee global go-to-market activity and develop growth initiatives across the business.
He previously advised the launch of LumApps AI and has held senior leadership positions at SAP and Oracle, as well as executive roles with B2B software companies.
Waitrose executive named Advertising Association president-elect
The Advertising Association has appointed Nathan Ansell, Chief Customer Officer at Waitrose, as its President-elect.
Ansell will join the association’s council immediately and will become President in 2027 following the completion of Andria Vidler’s term. In the role he will help guide the association’s strategic direction, work with members and represent the UK advertising industry on policy and industry issues.
Ansell rejoined Waitrose in 2023 as Customer Director and was promoted to Chief Customer Officer in 2025. Earlier in his career he held senior positions at Marks & Spencer, House 337, Heinz, Birds Eye Iglo and Red Bull.
IPA appoints director of legal
The Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) has appointed Helen Bowyer as Director of Legal, effective from 1 August.
Bowyer succeeds Richard Lindsay following his retirement and will lead the IPA’s legal team, advising member agencies on advertising law, regulation and related legal matters. She will also continue her work with the Committees of Advertising Practice and Clearcast.
She joined the IPA in 2017 after roles at Lewis Silkin and Addleshaw Goddard, bringing more than 25 years’ experience in advertising and media law.
