Elizabeth Anyaegbuna has announced The Intersection, a new platform that uses intersectionality as the lens for insight, influence and change across marketing, advertising and the creative industries. She is launching it with Claire Ferreira, founder of Mums in Marketing.
The platform starts from the belief that intersectionality connects people, changes how they see things, and is joyful. It brings together leaders, community members and champions who see this work as necessary and also as genuinely good, rooted in celebration, learning and coming together.
“I’ve spent years building real communities. What keeps happening is this moment, when people realise their different experiences aren’t separate problems. When you root it in understanding how we all show up differently, that’s when everything deepens. They’re connected insights that make everything stronger. And it’s joyful. That’s what we’re building space for,” said Anyaegbuna.
The Intersection is built around four ideas: sharing what people know, learning out loud through skills built together by people doing the work, building together, and saying it louder. On that last point, the founders argue that on your own it’s a view, but together it’s influence, and things actually shift.
The platform is open to anyone doing, championing, supporting or wanting to learn about this work.
The first gathering takes place on 26 January 2027, bringing together leaders and community members for drinks, conversation and a celebration of what already exists. Later in 2027, The Intersection will launch its full programme of talks, community-led conversations and learning, with space to build what comes next.
Anyaegbuna said the timing is deliberate. “Brands are waking up to the value of this work. People doing it know it matters. What’s been missing is the unified space where insight can be shared and influence built collectively. That’s what we’re creating.”
Anyaegbuna is founder of Buna Street, cofounder of Join Our Table, former President of Bloom UK and Chair of Trustees for BelEve UK.
