Uber Advertising has appointed Elton Ollerhead as its new Head of EMEA Sales, as the ride-hailing giant’s advertising arm continues its rapid commercial expansion across the region.
The hire comes at a significant moment for the business. Uber Advertising recently crossed a $2 billion (£1.6 billion) annualised revenue run rate, growing more than 50% year-over-year. EMEA was its fastest-growing Delivery region in 2025, with Mobility up approximately 30% year-over-year — making the regional sales leadership role one of its most consequential appointments to date.
Ollerhead joins from ASOS Media Group, where he served as Director and built out the retailer’s global advertising operation. Prior to that, he held senior roles at Amazon Ads, Tesco Media/dunnhumby and Sky Media, giving him broad experience across commerce media, data-driven advertising and premium broadcast environments.
In his new position, Ollerhead will oversee Uber Advertising’s full EMEA portfolio, spanning Journey Ads in the Uber Rides app, Sponsored Listings on Uber Eats, and the company’s Creative Studio offering. He will lead a team of commercial and programmatic specialists, with a focus on key verticals including restaurants, CPGs and non-endemic brands, as well as deepening agency and technology vendor relationships.
“There is an amazing opportunity to really cement Uber Advertising as the leading full-funnel media, data, and audience network and better serve our customers, brand, and agency partners,” said Ollerhead. “I am delighted to join such a talented team to help advertisers unlock new, commerce-led opportunities.”
Kristi Argyilan, Global Head of Uber Advertising, added: “As the global market shifts heavily toward intent-rich, outcome-driven platforms, his leadership will be crucial in scaling growth.”
