Amazon Ads adds regional targeting and Prime Video measurement
Amazon Ads has announced new geographic advertising tools and that Prime Video will join Barb CFlight, the UK’s unified TV measurement framework.
Prime Video will become the first streaming service available through CFlight, allowing advertisers to plan and measure campaigns alongside broadcaster activity using the same metrics. The integration is expected to be available in 2027.
Amazon Ads has also launched Geographic Insights and Activation, which uses retail signals and interactive maps to identify regional opportunities and activate campaigns in areas where brand presence is lower. The tool is available to UK advertisers.
A new location-based interactive video format for Prime Video will allow national campaigns to feature locally relevant offers, store information or promotions based on region. The format is due to launch by the end of 2026.
Bauer Media audio inventory added to Amazon Ads
Bauer Media has partnered with Amazon Ads to make its audio advertising inventory available to advertisers through Amazon’s advertising platform.
The portfolio includes Absolute Radio, KISS, Magic, Hits Radio and Greatest Hits Radio. Advertisers will be able to plan and activate campaigns across Bauer’s in-app, online and smart-speaker audio inventory through an integration with Amazon Ads Agent.
The companies are also working on research into the additional value audio can provide when used alongside other media channels.
IAB Europe publishes CTV measurement framework
IAB Europe has published a Connected TV Measurement Framework and Transparency Principles following an industry consultation.
The framework establishes common metrics and definitions for CTV campaigns and sets expectations for how those metrics should be disclosed and reported. It covers delivery, audience and exposure, and performance and outcome measurement.
The accompanying principles call for consistent definitions, disclosure of measurement limitations, support for client-initiated data collection, visibility into device power state and granular reporting.
The framework applies across broadcasters, streaming services and digital-first platforms and was developed with input from organisations including Amazon Ads, FreeWheel, IAB UK, RTÉ and Samsung Ads.
B90 reports 10,000 AI-generated webpages
B90 Holdings has generated 10,000 webpages using its AI content management system since June 2026.
The system combines automated webpage creation with image and video generation and is being used across B90-owned platforms including BestPreviews.com and Bet90.com. The company plans to extend its use to Oddsen.nu.
B90 said the system is designed to improve content relevance, consistency and factual reliability while reducing manual production requirements.
YouTube tops Beano Brain’s Coolest Brands ranking
Beano Brain has published its 2026 Coolest Brands research, based on responses from 10,000 UK children aged seven to 14.
YouTube retained the top position for the third consecutive year, while TikTok ranked ninth. Gaming, technology and social media brands accounted for a significant proportion of the ranking.
LEGO, Pokémon and Smyths Toys also featured prominently, while ChatGPT entered the ranking for the first time.
Mention Me upgrades referral marketing platform
Mention Me has launched an updated version of its referral marketing platform, including a visual campaign builder and AI-assisted reporting.
The campaign builder allows marketers to create and test referral programmes through a seven-step process covering branding, images, rewards, sharing and copy. Campaign performance and A/B testing can be managed within the same workflow.
The platform’s reporting tools also allow marketers to create customised dashboards using an AI assistant.
RevenueScreen launches cross-screen media monetisation business
RevenueScreen, a Dubai-based media monetisation company, has launched to work with broadcasters, content owners and media platforms across broadcast, streaming and emerging screen environments.
The business combines programmatic and reserved media buying, direct sales, sponsorships, branded entertainment and brand partnerships. Its technology covers areas including programmatic video, in-player advertising, QR-enabled advertising, commerce and monetisation analytics.
RevenueScreen operates through an international network of advertising sales specialists, combining international coverage with local market expertise.
IPA and SEF identify sports sponsorship effectiveness factors
IPA and the Sponsorship Effectiveness Forum have published research examining the factors associated with effective sports sponsorship.
The study, based on responses from 143 brands, agencies and rights holders, identifies three fundamentals: setting clear commercial objectives, measuring commercial impact and using that information at renewal, and integrating sponsorship with wider brand communications.
Four in 10 respondents said they were confident that sports sponsorship delivers business results. The research also found that 82% set commercial objectives, but only 47% use measurement tools capable of assessing whether those objectives have been achieved.
TikTok expands AI tools for advertisers
TikTok for Business has announced new AI-powered advertising and commerce tools at Advertising Week New York.
The announcements include Shopping Assistant, a conversational AI tool designed to help users with product discovery and purchasing, alongside new capabilities for advertisers using TikTok’s advertising ecosystem.
TikTok is also expanding its Business Model Context Protocol integration, allowing developers to build AI agents and tools for campaign planning and management. New automation features are being added to Search Ads Campaigns and Smart+ Creative Selection.
Ocean Outdoor adds The Curve to West End portfolio
Ocean Outdoor has added The Curve, a 166-square-metre LED advertising screen in Leicester Square, to its West End digital out-of-home portfolio.
The screen is accompanied by two existing portrait displays, providing a combined 240 square metres of advertising space. The site will support full-motion and static advertising, brand takeovers, activations and events.
The Curve is one of two commercial advertising opportunities in Leicester Square and joins Ocean’s existing portfolio of sites including Piccadilly Lights, Regent Street and Carnaby Street.
Tata Consumer Products appoints THG Ingenuity
Tata Consumer Products has appointed THG Ingenuity as its UK ecommerce partner for tea and wellness brands teapigs, Good Earth and Organic India.
THG Ingenuity will support the brands’ direct-to-consumer digital operations through its commerce, fulfilment and creative services.
The work will include the development and hosting of direct-to-consumer websites, fulfilment and customer service operations, and creative support for digital marketing activity.
AEG and O2 extend The O2 naming rights deal
AEG and O2 have extended their naming rights partnership for The O2 until 2038.
The agreement includes an increase in the number of tickets available to O2 customers through Priority Tickets and extends Priority access to shows at indigo at The O2.
The partnership began when the venue opened in 2007 and will now continue through its 20th anniversary in 2027 and beyond.
Particular Audience launches Trade Media solution
Particular Audience has launched a Trade Media solution designed to give brands and retailers more flexibility over supplier-funded promotions.
The system allows promotions to be launched, measured and adjusted in response to customer behaviour, competitor activity and external factors. It can also vary discounts according to competitor pricing rather than applying a fixed discount.
Trade Media is currently available as a managed service from Particular Audience.
Moloco achieves IAB Europe retail media certification
Moloco has become the first technology provider to achieve certification under IAB Europe’s Retail Media Certification Programme.
An independent audit by ABC UK assessed Moloco’s technology capabilities for on-site standard display and sponsored product advertising across web, mobile and in-app environments. The audit covered measurement and reporting capabilities against IAB Europe’s Commerce Retail Media Measurement Standards.
The certification programme previously included Albert Heijn and Nectar360 and is being extended to technology providers as retail media campaigns increasingly involve multiple parts of the advertising supply chain.
UK brand value reaches $321.2bn, Kantar finds
Kantar has reported that the combined value of the UK’s 75 most valuable brands reached $321.2bn in 2026.
The research found that 49 of the 75 brands increased in value. Financial services accounted for more than a third of the ranking’s total value, while telecoms and retail accounted for 17% and 9% respectively.
HSBC remained the UK’s most valuable brand, followed by Vodafone, Shell, Revolut and Barclays. Among other sectors, Sainsbury’s increased its brand value by 19%, Tesco by 15%, British Airways by 16% and Next by 17%.
