ISBA and RMA publish creator marketing operating model framework
ISBA and Responsible Marketing Advisory have published a framework to help brands determine how creator marketing should be managed, measured and scaled.
Creator Economy Operating Models: The Marketer’s Framework sets out three approaches: Bolt-on, where creators are activated around individual campaigns; Channel, where creator activity is maintained as an ongoing part of the marketing mix; and Core, where creators form a structural part of the brand’s marketing activity.
Research conducted with ISBA members found that 48% manage creator marketing on an ad hoc basis, while 9% treat it as a core part of their marketing strategy.
The research also found that 59% of marketers surveyed were only somewhat confident in their ability to assess creator marketing ROI. The framework is intended to help organisations establish ownership, measurement and governance for creator activity.
