“Adtech missed the memo on purposeful marketing,” Amy Williams, Good-Loop

“There’s been a huge rise in purposeful marketing and brands’ desire to do good and adtech kind of missed the memo on that,” she says.

She discusses what the digital ad industry needs to do to address the potential harm it can wreak on the planet, especially with programmatic advertising especially culpable for its share of the 2% of the internet’s total carbon footprint, itself larger than that oif the airline industry.
